Dragon Ball is back on TV, and it returns with the most feared god of Universe 7. Dragon Ball Super: Beerus reopens one of the saga's best-loved stories with renewed animation, just as the franchise celebrates its 40th anniversary. When does Dragon Ball Super: Beerus premiere?

The short answer: on Sunday, 11 October 2026. The first episode airs on Fuji TV at 23:15 Japan time, which is 16:15 in mainland Spain (CEST). Before that, on 8 October, New York Comic Con screens the first episode as a world premiere during the series panel.

Keep in mind that this time refers to the Japanese broadcast: on international streaming services, episodes may arrive at a different time depending on your country and your service.

Where to watch Dragon Ball Super: Beerus?

Netflix has announced it for October in several regions —including Spain, according to the specialist press— and in the United States it will arrive with weekly episodes starting on 17 October. Crunchyroll, for its part, has confirmed it will air in France on the same 11 October.

What is the “enhanced” edition? Is it a remake?

It is an improved version of Dragon Ball Super, not a new story. Toei Animation speaks of a large number of added or redrawn scenes, a rebuilt narrative and fights with more immersive animation that is closer to the manga. If some early episodes of the 2015 anime fell short for you visually, this is a chance to jump back in with fresh eyes.

Which arcs does Dragon Ball Super: Beerus adapt?

According to the trailers and official information, the series covers three arcs of the original anime:

Arc	What it is about (no spoilers)
Beerus	Beerus wakes from a long sleep, hears about a Saiyan who defeated Frieza and appears before Goku. Earth ends up in the sights of the most powerful being in the universe.
Resurrection ‘F’	Emperor Frieza returns to Earth to take revenge on Goku.
Universe 6	The warriors of Universe 7 face fighters from another universe.

Who is Beerus?

Beerus is the God of Destruction of Universe 7: a being of nearly unfathomable power whose job is to keep the universe in balance by destroying planets… and who has a well-known weakness for good food. He first appeared in the film Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods (2013), which brought the saga back to cinemas after 18 years without new releases. Since then he has become one of the most beloved characters in Dragon Ball.

Do I need to watch anything before starting?

It is not essential, but it helps to know the basics of Dragon Ball Z and the film Battle of Gods. The original Dragon Ball Super anime aired from 2015 to 2018 and has 131 episodes.

What comes after Beerus?

The comeback is part of the celebration of Dragon Ball's 40th anniversary. At the Genkidamatsuri event in January 2026, Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol was also announced, continuing the story from the Moro arc, still without a date. In video games, Bandai Namco has announced Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 for 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
